Rochester General Hospital Women’s Care Unit
Creation of a welcoming Reception Counter was an integral design goal within the renovation to the RGH Women’s Care Center. A warm wood and earth-toned counter, where staff is available to assist patients and help direct visitors, is clearly visible to those who exit the elevator.
A triage area adjacent to this space was created to allow patients to be seen in a timely manner. As this is the location where Moms sometimes approach saying, “I am in Labor,” this is essential!
A warm ribbon floor pattern was integrated into the flooring replacement and upgrade, continued from the patient wings into the common corridors creating a unified Women’s Center identity.
