Lakeside Memorial Hospital - Obstetrics & Surgery Renovation
A home-like, relaxed and comfortable setting was the goal in the interior design of the Lakeside OB Department.
LDRP rooms with wood-toned flooring, cabinetry and armoires containing a TV and additional space for patient clothing create a pleasant area where Mom, Dad and family can spend many comfortable hours. Cabinets open and exam lighting is engaged to quickly transform this space to meet the clinical needs of birth.
A Family Waiting Room adjacent to the main entry and Nurse’s Desk has also been designed and furnished in a home-like manner to create a restful space.
The OB project is phase one of a six-phase project that will undertake extensive renovations and an addition to the Surgery Department. A new shared entry will be created on the south side of the Hospital providing OB and Surgery patients with a dedicated destination on the busy campus.
