The Surgical Center at Nicholas Noyes Memorial Hospital houses a 17,000 SF Surgical Suite with 4 state-of-the-art ORs and 2 Endoscopy/Minor Procedure Rooms on the ground floor.  The support spaces include a 5-station PACU, 12-station Phase 2 Recovery Unit, and a 6-station Pre-Anesthesia Unit.  These Units were designed so that patient loads could be adjusted to handle peak loads throughout the day.  The Administration Suite includes pre-admission testing and Consultation Rooms.

The second floor of the addition boasts a 6,500 SF ICU Unit which includes 8 ICU rooms with one room capable of being converted to an Isolation Room.  Two of these rooms were designed to handle future dialysis patients.

This project also included extensive site development resulting from the expansion of the facility and site challenges.
