Town of Perinton White Brook Park Activity Center
This new facility stands at a prominent location in Perinton’s nature conservancy which is located on the Erie Canal and is home to a sanctuary for many indigenous birds, wetlands, ponds and an upland meadow.
The structure was designed as a multipurpose facility and includes a large open activity space oriented toward a view of wetlands, with a blue heron rookery beyond, and is supported by a kitchenette and toilet room facilities.
Earth-toned building materials were used to help the structure blend in with its environment. The steel column and truss assembly is designed to echo the wooded areas within this quiet, beautiful setting.
