Unity Health System Plans Health Care Campus of the Future

Unity’s CEO, Tim McCormick, recently announced a $158 million capital project that involves three components of the Greece, NY Campus - Unity Hospital, Park Ridge Nursing Home and The Village at Park Ridge.

The project includes the addition of 85 inpatient beds at Unity Hospital. The new beds will be made possible through the addition of a 4th floor to the Hospital and the annexation of the soon-to-be-former Nursing Home.  The entire Hospital will be updated with an emphasis on the future of health care.  All existing patient rooms and support areas will be renovated and upgraded.  The project will impact almost every area of the Hospital.

The project also entails the replacement of the Park Ridge Nursing Home with construction of 4 new “cottage style” residences each housing 20 long term care residents and construction of an attached 40-bed Transitional Care Center that will serve Unity’s joint replacement patients.

The Village at Park Ridge is being expanded by 20 additional enriched living apartments and the addition of memory care to the spectrum of services offered. The project is expected to extend to 2012 and occur in several phases of work.

Gardner PLUS is honored to be a part of this remarkable project. We extend our heartiest congratulations to Unity Health System on their largest and most significant expansion in the 35-year history of the Park Ridge Health Care Campus.
