2010 - The AIA Prestigious Merit Award for Interior Environments

Gardner PLUS was awarded the Merit Award for Interior Environments for the showroom at Getinge USA, Henrietta NY

Getinge is an international life science company based in Sweden, world-renowned for designing and manufacturing products for healthcare and industry.

Getinge USA, a leading manufacturer and distributor of advanced infection control and surgical equipment, enlisted Gardner PLUS to re-create and update their Henrietta, NY showroom to spotlight its innovative product line and enhance their corporate image by providing a world-class showroom.

Unity Hospital Receives Civic Award

The Unity Hospital Emergency Department was honored with the Greece Chamber of Commerce Civic Award on April 27, 2007.  The project received a Community Enhancement Award for the extensive renovations and additions to the existing Emergency Center.  Thirty Treatment Rooms and twenty-eight Observation Bays are housed in this state-of-the-art project. 

The project team consisted of a committed group of Emergency Department doctors and nurses along with Gardner PLUS Architects who led a consultant team comprised of M/E Engineering, Jensen Engineering, LaDieu Associates and McCord Landscape Architects. 

Stewart Putnam, President of Unity Hospital, praised Gardner PLUS Architects as a “small local firm delivering national level design.”

2007 - Harley Hill Excellence in Lighting Award: Unity Hospital Emergency Department Expansion Project

Unity Hospital Emergency Department Expansion Project receives the Harley Hill Excellence in Lighting Award from the Rochester Section of the Illuminating Engineering Society

CSI -Outstanding Project Award: Birthing Unit at Lakeside Memorial Hospital

Gardner PLUS Architects was honored by Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) with the Outstanding Project Award for renovation to the Birthing Unit at Lakeside Memorial Hospital in Brockport, NY. The award was given to the project team which includes the Hospital, LeCesse Construction, IBC Engineering, and Gardner PLUS in recognition of excellence in communication throughout design and construction.

UHS MS Achievement Center Receives Humanitarian Award

Unity Health System’s MS Achievement Center was recently named the 2007 recipient of the Katherine Donohoe Humanitarian Award, presented by the Upstate New York chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. 

Founded in 1993 through the joint efforts of Unity CEO Timothy McCormick and former Upstate New York NMSS president James Ahearn, the Center was the second of its type to be established nationally.
